Registration Now Open for the 29th Annual Hospital Hill Run
WATERTOWN, S.D. – May 1, 2026 – Prairie Lakes Healthcare System (PLHS) is inviting local families to the 29th Annual Hospital Hill Run on Saturday, June 13th, 2026. The Hospital Hill Run was created nearly three decades ago by a handful of local healthcare providers to promote the importance of exercise in a fun and family-friendly way.
Events include a 5K timed run, 5K walk, a 1-mile walk, or a 1-mile timed kids race for children 10 and under. Due to construction on 14th Ave NW, a new route this year will take 5K runners south to loop around the Bramble Park Zoo.
Registration is $20 through June 5th, then will increase to $25. All local healthcare employees can register for only $15. Children 12 and under are free. Participants will receive an athletic running shirt included in their race packet along with other fun giveaways.
Proceeds from the Hospital Hill Run will benefit the Prairie Lakes Caring Club House, which serves as a home away from home for out-of-town patients, their families, and caregivers receiving care at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System.
Event check-in will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 13th, in front of the Caring Club House. The race will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. with refreshments, entertainment, and an award ceremony immediately following the race near the top of St. Anne’s Hill.
