Agency of the Month: Spectrum Matters
Codington Connects is proud to recognize Spectrum Matters as our Agency of the Month.
Founded in July 2019, Spectrum Matters has been dedicated to supporting children on the autism spectrum and their families through compassionate, effective Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Their vision is to ensure every child on the autism spectrum has access to the care and support they need to reach their fullest potential. By focusing on individualized services and meaningful engagement, Spectrum Matters works to help children live happy, fulfilling lives and actively participate in their communities as they grow.
One of the most encouraging aspects of Spectrum Matters’ journey has been the support they have received from the community. The organization has been pleasantly surprised by how open and welcoming the community has been in learning more about autism and Applied Behavior Analysis. This willingness to understand and support families has helped create an environment where awareness and inclusion continue to grow.
Spectrum Matters also recognizes the important role that collaboration plays in strengthening communities. They see Codington Connects as a valuable resource that helps bridge gaps between services and connect families and individuals to the support they need. By bringing agencies and organizations together, Codington Connects helps ensure that resources are easier to find and more accessible to those who need them most.
For the team at Spectrum Matters, the most rewarding part of their work is witnessing the progress of the children they serve. Seeing a child who once struggled to communicate their needs grow into someone who can confidently communicate, engage with others, and eventually transition out of the program with little to no support at school or home is incredibly meaningful. Moments like these remind the team that their work is truly changing the lives of families in the community.
