Child sexual and physical abuse is a hard topic to think about but it’s even harder to talk about. Children are our tomorrow and they are our most vulnerable population so we need to stand up for them and be their voice because it shouldn’t hurt to be a child.

April is Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month and the Watertown Police Department is bringing awareness to this important topic by hosting two community events:
1) Community presentation on Child Sexual Abuse: Prevention, Detection, and Advocacy for Parents
a. Tuesday, April 23
2) Child Abuse Awareness 5K/Walk
a. Saturday, April 27
