This month, Codington Connects is pleased to recognize Beth Lalim, Executive Director of Watertown Cares, as our Individual of the Month. Beth’s compassion, leadership, and belief in the potential of others make her a spirited asset to her organization and a true inspiration in the community.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Beth says, “I love working directly with clients—building relationships, recognizing their strengths, connecting them to resources, and ultimately helping them regain their footing and secure permanent housing.” Her dedication to supporting clients through every step of their journey is at the heart of her work at Watertown Cares.
Beth’s extensive experience in serving those in need is a cornerstone of her contributions. “My long background in service, assisting people and linking them to the right resources, is one of the most valuable skills I bring to Codington Connects,” she shares. Her ability to navigate resources and connect people to the support they need makes her an indispensable leader in the community.
Beth finds her greatest inspiration in the people she helps. “The clients I work with inspire me every day. Their resilience, strength, and gratitude motivate me to keep pushing forward and continue growing in this work,” she explains. Witnessing the perseverance of her clients keeps her energized and deeply committed to making a positive impact.
Beyond her dedication to human services, Beth dreams of opening and operating an animal rescue sanctuary someday. This aspiration reflects her compassionate spirit and desire to extend her care and support to animals in need; mirroring the empathy she shows to the individuals she serves.
Beth’s not-so-hidden talent is her remarkable ability to see the good in everyone. This gift plays a crucial role in her work, as she consistently empowers clients to see their worth, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve lasting change.
Beth’s dedicated commitment to helping others and her exceptional ability to foster connections with those in need, make her a true leader at Watertown Cares and within our community. We are incredibly thankful for her tireless efforts, and we celebrate her for the lasting difference she is making in others’ lives. Thank you for everything you do, Beth!
